Washington becomes first state to approve net neutrality rules

Net neutrality
Washington on Monday became the first US state to set up its own net-neutrality requirements. The US regulators had in December last year repealed the Obama-era rules that banned Internet providers from interfering with online traffic. Governors of five other US states— Hawaii, New Jersey, New York, Montana and Vermont — have also signed net-neutrality related executive orders.
